Well here we go, i took my time picking the name for my blog. codswallop, something to go with Crayford, codswallop from Crayford slips easily off the tongue? codswallop, nonsense, according to Rogets Thesurus. yes, i have been accused many times of speaking that!!
To the One Bell for an early evening drink first impressions was very good, nice mix of people and the price was right £2.65 for a pint of bitter, hope it gives the other Crayford pubs(5) a kick up the backside and get there acts together, trouble is there is not enough punters to go round! drinking habits have changed dramatically over the past twenty years and only the best will survive,The Royal Charlotte was the last pub to have a makeover and while initially it was a success it soon lost custom ,due, i think to mismanagement the owners failure to meet the old locals needs. Hope a change of direction can make this pub good again hope so as its my blinking local!!
